“Arabiya Coffee” is a long-established coffee shop in Minami, which was founded in 1951.

2021 is the 70th anniversary of our founding, and many flowers were displayed in front of the shop.

It seems that “strong coffee” was the mainstream in Osaka when it was founded, and even if the first owner said “It’s thin!”, He continued to stick to the soft flavor and mild taste of medium roasting, and now It is a well-known store known to coffee lovers.

Location

The place is in Hozenji Yokocho, which is just a stone’s throw from Dotonbori in the center of Minami, and Kabuki actors can also come from Osaka Shochikuza (theatre in Dotonbori)!

Delicious coffee and french toast

Blended coffee is 550 yen.

This French toast is made by baking 6 sides of 4 cm thick bread and then steaming the inside, and it is a dish unique to Arabiya coffee that the current owner of the second generation inherits what the first owner started in the 1970s.

French toast has an exquisite aroma and stuffiness (?), And after the sweetness of maple syrup struck for a moment, the butter melted in my mouth and disappeared, and when I poured a sip of coffee into it, I don’t know what it is, but the deliciousness of coffee stands out even more, and this is already the best!

I think I’ll go to Namba just for this cup of coffe again.

The theme of the Royal Classic Hotel is “Hotel & Museum”, and works of art are exhibited throughout the hotel, but there are also large glass works of art in front of the restaurant, which was very gorgeous.

The restaurant had a buffet style with a lid on the food, and there was a partition between the seats.

Since this day is New Year’s Day, we received sparkling wine and New Year’s New Year’s New Year’s service.

The kitchen can be seen from the seat where you sit, giving you a sense of realism.

The beginning is Japanese paper

There is only Hotel & Museum and the vessel is cute! New Year dishes are also gorgeous.

In addition, “Wagyu and sea urchin sushi” and “Omar shrimp gratin”, which are given only once per person on the special New Year’s menu, are also available! It’s an on-parade with a gorgeous lineup of New Year’s power, but this is just the beginning. The buffet is still waiting.

In the buffet area, there were many healthy dishes made with Japanese ingredients from Kansai, such as salads made with Kyoto vegetables, red cabbage coleslaw, and marinated salmon and Narazuke.

Almost all the dishes were beautifully presented in small bowls and there were many types. I don’t have many chances to eat local vegetables all at once, so I thought, “I want to conquer all of them!” I wish I had another stomach … ..

As an aside here, the chopsticks here were very easy to hold.

After thoroughly enjoying the buffet corner, get all the “Wagyu steak” at the main dish corner.　

The charcoal salt under the wasabi was very delicious!

I visited the sky bar “Kunun ~ KUMOKUMO ~” on the 20th floor.

When you enter the shop, there is a bar counter on your right, and a backrest on your left that is as high as a wall, and there is a luxurious sofa seat for two people that looks like a private room.　
All the windows of the bar are covered with glass so you can see the night view in a panoramic view.

I ordered white wine and my partner Cassis Orange.
And, as expected, the home of kelp soup stock in Osaka, the salted kelp as a snack was delicious and the sake went on.

There was only one more pair with us at the bar, partly because it was a corona wreck, but I think this is really a little-known spot. I thought it was a waste to see vacant seats in such a nice place.

I couldn’t stay for a long time due to the short working hours, but thanks to you, I had a very good time on New Year’s night.

Huff

After going to “雲雲~ KUMOKUMO ~”, after watching the New Year’s special program until about 3 o’clock in the room and fully enjoying the New Year’s night, I worked hard at 8 am (sweat) and went to the same 11th floor as the check-in lobby To a breakfast restaurant “Huff” exclusively for guests.

“Huff” is not based on white, and the windows are entirely covered with glass, and the morning light shines in. The wood-based table creates a refreshing and calming atmosphere.

And I had New Year’s sparkling wine at breakfast. No, I feel the best and high from the morning.

For breakfast, there were meat sui and kushikatsu unique to Osaka, and in the bread area there was foodscape! Bread in Fukushima Ward, Osaka, which was full of Osaka gourmet food.

After fully enjoying breakfast, I spent a relaxing time drinking coffee until 12 o’clock at check-out, and returned home in a very good mood.

When I live in Osaka, I don’t often stay at hotels in Osaka, but I’m really glad that I stayed at this hotel where I can fully enjoy the goodness of Osaka just by staying at the hotel, and on New Year’s Day. It was.

Also, I would like to stay in Osaka to feel the extraordinary.

The first accommodation in 2021, “Royal Classic Osaka,” was built on the site of Shin Kabukiza, which closed in 2009. Kengo Kuma, a world-famous architect, fused traditional Japanese architecture with Western architecture. It’s a very cool hotel that I designed.

Immediately to the check-in lobby on the 11th floor. A bright, clean and refreshing atmosphere with lots of sunlight coming in through the large windows.

The theme of the hotel is only Hotel & Musiam, and art is scattered all over the hotel, so it’s fun to move around!

Perhaps the design is that way, it’s spacious but not too wide and it feels calm, the outside light and lighting are exquisite, the whole room is bright and the Japanese modern feeling is fashionable.

The first thing I noticed when I stepped into the room was the drink area.

Coffee is UCC. There were as many as I thought, “Is this amount enough to drink in 2 days and 1 night?”
Drinking too much coffee tends to cause headaches and stomachaches, but this was okay.

It was a good plan to have welcome sweets and all the drinks in the fridge, so it was good that I didn’t have to buy anything at the convenience store.

The fact that there was Sangaria’s Mick Chu Ju Chu (Osaka’s specialty) is also a high point!

It would be nice to have a compression bag as an amenity.

The next time I open the bathroom door, the toilet lid suddenly opens and I’m surprised!
It’s been two years since I came back from Thailand, but I’m still not used to Japan in the 21st century. ..

And, as expected, a Japanese hotel. The dryer is Panasonic, and all towels are Imabari towels, which are made in Japan.

But the amenities are L’Occitane.
According to my research, the standard type room is Thai brand Panpuri.
Panpuri was better, personally.

The exterior of the bathroom is fitted with glass and has an erotic and luxurious atmosphere.
Since it can be hidden with shoji, you can go to the bathroom with confidence even if there are people.

The desk area was by the window, and in a good way it looked like a study desk and was very easy to use. If you work here, it will make progress! (But actually, I just sat here and used my smartphone …)

The choice of art, hotel books, and surrounding information papers on my desk was also good.
I wanted to buy the book “Royal Classic Osaka” if I sold it!

Also, the peripheral information paper called “Delicious Zaura”, which I thought was of high quality, was made by my favorite Keihanshin L Magazine, and I was a little excited.

There is a relaxing chair behind the desk, where you can enjoy the dusk of Osaka while sipping Premium Malt’s from the minibar.

Now that I’m hungry when it’s dark outside, I’m going to a restaurant.

If you move to the elevator hall, it’s a work of art again! The icy glass artwork was very beautiful.

The walls and stained glass made of 640 pieces of wood can be seen from the entrance, and I’m a little excited about the luxury that is different from the atmosphere of Dotonbori. .. ..

The neo-classical interior of “American Pure Cafe” has high cultural value
and has been selected as a selection of living architectural museums in Osaka.

Food samples are displayed at the entrance, and it’s fun just to look at them.

Katsuyo Kobayashi, a cook, praised the hot cakes and cutlet sandwiches.

When you enter the shop and take a seat, fresh flowers are displayed and it feels very good. The owner seems to plant seasonal flowers once a week.

The menu with golden stars studded on a red background is also cool.

The price is 540 yen (tax included) for hot cakes and 550 yen (tax included) for coffee.
However, if you make a set of hot cake + drink, it will be 1000 yen (tax included), so order the set.

I was at a loss with a homemade blend of hot coffee using 8 kinds of beans, but this day was a hot summer day, so I chose Ice Cafe au lait.

And this is the rumored hot cake! !!

It is made by blending several kinds of wheat and is served immediately after being baked on a copper plate, so it’s freshly baked! Fluffy hot!

It is cut into 6 equal parts from the beginning so that it can be eaten immediately after being served.

Now, let’s soak this hot pancake with plenty of syrup.

Stick a fork into the cut pancake and throw it into your mouth. Then, the sweetness of the syrup and the salty taste of butter spread all over the mouth with the fragrance, and the feeling that the particles of pleasure spark in the tired brain of work is irresistible! !! !!

Hmm … ♡ It was　really delicious.
Let’s call it hotcake meditation for this moment in a blink of an eye.

By the way, the syrup is transparent. Maple syrup and honey are not too good for hot cakes, so they are made by mixing fluffy and sweet special syrup with good honey.

The atmosphere of the shop is gorgeous, so it was a little exciting to enter alone, but when I entered, I was able to spend a calm and cozy atmosphere like Osaka.

The hot cakes eaten in a gorgeous space were exquisite as rumored, and when I think that this has been around since the Showa period, I think it’s purely amazing.
